I wouldn't lose hope. These aren't SoCo songs. They're AMITW songs performed by SoCo. I'm hoping Andrew can still write classic SoCo. They sound great live.

Andrew is very on the record with saying that he doesn’t want to be a legacy act, look to the past, etc,, and always wants to be moving forward with his music. I doubt we’re going to get anything produced to sound like SoCo at this point. He def missed the moment. But for those of us who have been tracking his wilderness project for several years, the new songs haven’t been so bad.

i was really into wilderness when it started but by album #3 it all started to sound the same and boring to me so i fell off, but the first two albums i really enjoyed at the time, i rarely revisit em though. i do remember being pretty shocked when i heard 'Cecilia And The Satellite' on the radio and it sounded familiar vocally so i shazammed it haha, that's how i found out about in the wilderness.

damn those fees, tix are all like 25-30 bucks the end up being over 50 dollars in the end, it sucks!

I’m actually shocked that the 3rd record turned you off - that record is prob the closest thing he’s done to Jack’s Mannequin/Soco since he started Wilderness. It’s easily his least-geared-for-modern-alt-radio (for its time) album imo

yah maybe i wasn't in the mood for it, i dunno, i did buy the cd when it dropped. but maybe that's why i didn't like it over the first two? i liked the radio sounds he was doing at the time, but like i said, i don't revisit any of it anymore, but i can still jam soco and jacks.

I had the exact same opinion as you. It's like all the energy got sucked out after the first two albums.
