I was gonna see her when she played mid sized venues for her last album tour but someone called in a bomb threat so it was cancelled

Prob won't try this go around but interested how the big arena shows will look.

 

I can't believe "Espresso" doesn't Mountain Dew it for some of y'all.

Ok update I like the album better in my headphones than in the car. ia that she's filling an earlier career Kacey Musgraves simple but cheeky lyrics void

This is sequenced like it’s on shuffle but I love every song

 

If I’m loving this album (and I am!), would I love her last one, too?

 

I think this one has more of her personality in it where she's found more of her (metaphorical) voice/vision. If you haven't heard the singles from her last album maybe check those out and see if they're your vibe, like Nonsense and Feather. Read Your Mind was also a favorite of mine. I think it's a good album tho and what I'd consider her debut even tho it's technically not

 

Also now that more people are starting to listen to her if you're bored and don't know the lore, I have always been annoyed that I feel like Skin and Because I Liked a Boy are narratively at odds. But also glad she pivoted away from Skin because Olivia referenced her in nothing but kind ways in her songs so Skin seemed harsh for no reason.

Her last album is kind of a snooze, imo. A few decent songs, but a lot of pretty faceless stuff too. This one is leagues better.
