Look at the joy we have as we provide arms to fuel a genocide and have the most lethal military in the world genociding anyone who can't fight back and isn't the right color. Such joy.

let's be real, these aren't undecided voters, these are people that wanted attention from a new org to feel important

Well this was in John McCain’s second term, so clearly Democrats shouldn’t echo Obama’s sentiments here.

Like, even remove the genocide from it all for a second. Just one second, then right back to the forefront....

I do not get cheerleading having two right wing parties. Like, you get how that is actually bad for the country right? I'm sure it polls great, and everyone thinks Michelle Obama and George W. Bush are adorable or whatever, but the idea that our political spectrum is now basically the range of Charlie Baker to MAGA is not healthy for the country.

There’s no way the republicans can find a way to twist that speech against Kamala!

Lol I'm the complete opposite of mad. If people are disappointed, like I said I'm sorry they didn't hear what they were hoping to hear. If people are mad that I'm excited about her speech and the situation moving forward that's on them. Not me.
Exactly. So like I said, no matter what Kamala said, you remain insignificant in who she's trying to reach.

No, what I said contradicts that.

but I figure she’d try to get thousands of Muslim and Arab votes in Michigan

Gearing your message to the voters who voted for Trump over Hilary is a better strategic decision than bringing the Uncommitted Movement (who could cost you one of the must-win states for Democrats) into the tent. This is actually really good pragmatic politics!!!!

  19. In that hypothetical, what state is that impacting? Are they really running "please don't stop the bombs" ads with an impact that could determine the election? I'm not convinced.

Some people just have nothing better to do with their lives than stand outside the DNC and shout. Same with some folks here. Sorry you’ve decided to make your vote have no value to Democrats. Maybe work on yourself.

I’m gonna pull an importer/exporter and drop a Matt Christian quote about the Charlottesville rally in here:

And that's what these guys are, these guys that marched in Charlottesville, these are the people who are aware of the unspoken premise of this sort of zombie neoliberalism that we're living in, which is that we're coming to a point where there's gonna be ecological catastrophe, and that it's gonna require either massive redistribution of the ill-gotten gains of the first world, or genocide.

And these are the first people who have basically said, "Well if that's the choice, then I choose genocide", and they're getting everyone else ready, intellectually and emotionally, for why that's gonna be okay when it happens, why they're not really people. When we're putting all this money into more fucking walls and drones and bombs and guns to keep them away, so that we can watch them die with clear consciences, it's because we've been loaded with the ideology that these guys are now starting to express publicly.

Jason, you answered this question with your earlier post about how you came to the realization that the Democratic party does not align with your values and never will and you needed to accept that and let it go

I think your question here makes the issue completely about this election coming up against donald trump specifically where the answer is much broader than that and isn't entirely about this election any more than anything a politician does ever is about elections

she's running as the Democratic candidate form president, and neither their values overall or hers specifically align with yours

    Well, in that case then,

  24. I find it a very weird thing to admit (that my vote has no value) from the people asking for it. Especially when my reason for not giving it is that I would like less people to die.

I’ve voted in every federal election since 2004. Hell, I’ve voted in every election PERIOD since 2004.

I voted Green Party for President in 2004. Since then, I’ve voted Democrat in every election, even if it was begrudgingly.

They LOST my vote this election.
