My highly unpopular opinion is everyone needs to be taxed more to pay for things I want the govt to do lol

But I really don't think there's any "meat" there when they say middle class tax cuts. Like I don't think they're going to propose a tax bill that lowers the tax rate on people making 80K from 25 to 23% or whatever. But there's no way to know when they just say slogans and not get into policy at all! But my assumption when I hear things about middle class tax cuts is they really mean passing tax credits like the child tax credit or whatever that would mostly be taken by "middle class" people. ANd it's also just because as someone else pointed out, everyone thinks they're middle class even though they aren't.

 

I still don’t think politicians know what the middle class even is when they say that

 

Ironic when a common reason people say we should vote for Kamala is because it’ll help trans people
