Concord will die a slow and quiet death.

 

Concord was dead on arrival, they spent eight years making an OW competitor that no one really asked for. Sony can dump all the resources to promote it but they can’t get much of anyone to give a shit about it.

 

I’m kind of in the mood for concord because all I’ve been playing is gachas and character action games, I just don’t have 40 bucks for a game that’ll be dead within weeks — esp seeing how overwatch is free.

 

The fact that people spent eight years of their lives working on something that will be dead on arrival is sad on its own, but I'm more annoyed by the fact that the people championing the demise are the scum of the universe. I'm not that interested in the game either, but I almost want to support it now on principle.

 

Charging $40 for what is basically a F2P game in terms of gameplay is a bit of an ask when I can easily get one of their competitors for nothing.

 

I do think the wagon-circling that’s happening, especially in the content creator space (looking at you Luke Stephens) is gross, but also: if the best you can do in 8 years is a Destiny crucible clone with the art direction of “we have Guardians of the Galaxy at home” I have a really fucking hard time feeling sorry for you.

and these people left senior roles in big studios. Maybe, just maybe, we can all learn from this to stop being so fucking obviously creatively bankrupt. I’m sorry.

 

8 year dev time for a live service title is legitimately fucking insane.

game will be dead within 8 weeks. If that.

baffling it’s not on one of the ps plus tiers.

 

Why, so they can be like "let's make your game free on our live service and close down your studio when it mysteriously doesn't sell enough copies" Microsoft?

If it was on PS Extra, I’d be playing everyday.

I really enjoyed my time with it during the Beta. Felt like a mix between OW and Destiny. Characters were interesting and had life to them. Too many years late at this point.

 

Well to be fair, right now it's a very sensitive and emotional topic (Gaza) and I understand completely why people are passionate about it because why wouldn't they be, you know?

Politics thread has gotten pretty toxic recently, I had to peace out it because I felt that was an atmosphere I really didn’t want to be a part of anymore. Free Palestine though.

 

I follow politics very closely and I have not clicked the political thread since like 2020, I get annoyed just talking about wrestling and video games in here lol. So fuck that.
