Welp tested positive for covid. Feeling shitty. My symptoms started last night so I’m going to try to get paxlovid. Anyone here take it before?

I think @David87 has taken it or is at least very knowledgeable about it. If I'm not mistaken, the best time to take it is on day two or three of symptoms to reduce the chance of a rebound. My girlfriend took it on day two of testing positive and while the relief was surprisingly fast she did rebound a couple days after her last dose, which sucked. She had no side effects other than getting very tired of the taste after a few doses although it didn't bother her as much as I've heard it's bothered others.

I've heard great things about paxlovid but yeah you gotta make sure you do it right to avoid rebound. And the penny/metal taste is apparently very real but also nowhere near bad enough that you're not glad you're on the med overall. keep a jolly rancher bag around

 

I haven't followed this race closely but I've seen people say Allred has been running a very poor campaign. So if he's only down 2 points, imagine what it could be if he ran a good campaign

I'd recommend taking a zinc supplement while you are actively sick. Hope it's not too bad for you. I suffered from long covid and had to do months of research to help myself, as doctors were no help. So if anyone reading this is suffering symptoms and wants some not-so-professional advice about your gut biome and covid, hit me up.

I took it back in January and youre right the metal taste is pretty gross but not nearly as bad as not being on it.

Honestly, the zofran they gave me was the real MVP. That shit is a miracle drug & I'm glad I have a bunch left over for the next time I have severe nausea

Agreed on Zofran, I got a script for some last fall after I couldn't stop shivering and vomiting after partying way too hard and then having one (1) sip of champagne the next morning. Still needed to sleep 14 hours in a row to recover but was able to so without vomiting because of Zofran. Fuck champagne lmao I straight up can't drink it
