I love when they go straight ahead alt rock like Bastardizer or Cold Blooded. Anything on the new record scratch that itch?

    Ultrapop

Check out tracks like "All Futures" and "An Iteration" to get a taste. Only Love is my favorite of theirs, but it leans toward the heavier chaotic side and doesn't have as many of the catchy moments.

Yup, the wild thing is that hell 99 isn’t even the best song on the record, def top 5 tho.

I tried ULTRAPOP a few times but honestly can't get past the production, I just don't get it

What’s the issue you have with the production?

Personally I think it sounds very very very bad, like they are stuck in a closet and I'm listening from next door

Genuine question but do you listen to albums on Spotify

At work and in the car yes, at home (most of my listening) it's full quality on good speakers via my desktop computer.

disliking the production on that album is a VERY common complaint, I didn't just pull it out of my ass

I mean the production is a deliberate choice. So from there it is really a matter of your tastes.

    Correct

Spotify sounds like you’re hearing it from inside a closet no matter how the album is recorded

Well, no, but I also don't care about discussing the merits of Spotify

Guys, the bathroom here is nuts

I didn't really get The Armed either at first, it all just kind of washed over me. Totally understand what you mean by the production choices though, that thing is dense. However, one song "clicked", then another, and all of a sudden I became obsessed with their entire discography. Their library is pretty wild and I love it all. REFRACT.

That being said, life's too short man. If it isn't for you, I don't see any need for you to force yourself to dive into something that you already gave a chance to, especially when you listened to (arguably) their most accessible album.

the newest album (perfect saviors) is the armed at their best but it’s not very much like the new foxing song

hell99 is so rad. I feel like when bands do their thrashy shouty punk song it’s always cool but sounds pretty generic. The guitar rhythm and drum part keeps the souls of the band in the song. this release put me through the roof on hype for the record release.

yeah only just heard this, was waiting for my monitor headphones and it's an absolute barnburner. changed a lot from the demo on patreon and they're definitely good changes lol. here for a lot more Eric leads tbh

Yeah, there are a couple for sure, but I would say this record doesn’t go for anything as straightforwardly catchy as those
