“Sing Sing” is without a doubt one of the best movies of the year. Really floored me emotionally.

 

Hoping to catch it this weekend. Wanna see Blink Twice, Sing Sing and Didi. May get 2/3

 

Yeah, this is an absolutely stacked weekend, along with “Strange Darling.”

 

Seeing Strange Darling Thursday night. Prefer Friday nights, but my theater has it on a slightly larger screen for first night.

 

Proper looking forward to watching this in the cinema when it gets released in the UK in a couple of weeks time

Our first major story this year is Beowulf and I compared the setup to stuff like Ghostbusters and Seven Samurai. I received an army of blank stares but one kid said he has seen Seven Samurai and mentioned how Kurosawa was an influence on Star Wars. It is only the 8th day of school but he is in the running for favorite student of the year.

Sometimes. The boys have a hard time dealing with the Jolie scenes.

I would pay double if the popcorn was hot and fresh.

 

When I worked at the movie theater you could always request a fresh batch of popcorn. You’ll probably annoy the workers but it is possible haha

 

I have thought about that but all the theaters around here are so understaffed so I don't want to add to their pain.

 

is it rude to ask them to fill from the stuff in the middle of popping? I've arrived with a batch being made but they just pull from the current amount and i don't want to be rude/annoying

That is a big problem with going on a Sunday morning or Tuesday afternoon. They aren't really making popcorn that often.
