There was a pages long argument yesterday about whether or not Kamala would enact a ceasefire brother

 

I strongly disagree with referring to Russia invading a neighboring country as "pushing back" - I disagree with that framing, but it it is very skillful use of language

and the fact that Ukraine is a large country with a big population does nothing to excuse or justify the way Russia is prosecuting their war against them - logistical limitations do not excuse intent

well I disagree anyone is “running cover for” here, and I disagree that it’s yeah but’ing the war. Everyone here agrees it’s horrible and agrees Israel is in the wrong, to put it nicely. That has not been true of the other conflict. You’re better than this man lol

Russia "pushing back" was a literal typo, they were talking about Ukraine pushign back. Stop this.

Ukraine's population size does not excuse or justify anything but the fact that they have a standing army and supplies for it and weren't living in the world's largest concentration camp even before the war means the circumstances of the two countries are completely different even as they are both subject to invasion! This is obvious on it's face what are we talking about oh my god

Everyone keeps saying that was a typo but idk the way those two paragraphs are set up is talking about Israel and Ukraine as client states in the 2nd paragraph and then switching to Gaza and Russia pushing back against the American client states. It doesn’t read as a typo to me?

 

If everyone agrees that Israel is wrong and committing a holocaust and that the United States is supporting it then why is everyone mad at me for pointing out what the quivalent political behavior would've been in Nazi Germany? I am just rephrasing "if you've ever wondered what you would've done during the holocaust, you're doing it right now" in a way that makes you feel bad about yourself

Because both are client statements. But when you read the second paragraph. Even without the correction the sentence and logical consistency only makes sense when he is comparing Ukraine and Gaza in ability to push back. I dunno, walk it over to the engish/lit teacher.
