It is privilege, and irrationality (well, depending on how you define rational), and shallow....but I think those things can be changed! There's a ton of people now who acknowledge their own privilege, and privilege in general, that did not 10+ years ago.

 

Again, I don’t think we’re talking about a person who exists in this case. If so, there are very very few of them. I think it’s more important to know who your enemies are (which yes, in my opinion, currently includes AOC and others going on about how “Kamala is for immigrants” “Kamala is working on a ceasefire” etc.) than to have everyone shut up about that point out of fear of making some hypothetical person who is at best in a mega-minority uncomfortable and watering down your movement until it’s meaningless. But more importantly, this is an incredibly goofy preoccupation to have as it is not causing any harm to the movement.
