There's something to be said about the toxic gaming community and incels, but I think a quick perusal* of the Steam forums calling this a return to pre-woke gaming says it best.

Like, it's unfortunate because it does look like a really cool game and I'm not going to hold buying a copy against people, but there are other questionable titles I've avoided for similar reasons and there are so many great games, it's not a difficult call to make. And unfortunately, these people earning money does in the end encourage these toxic viewpoints.

 

Yeah I'm pretty much in the same boat. They've done plenty to tell people not to play this game so I'm just listening and not playing the game, but if other people are it is what it is and I get why people want to

 

Out of interest, what is toxic about the game? It's not my sorta game anyway so I've completely ignored any discourse about it.

 

I'd guess they're going to bundle it with the Zero Dawn remaster/remake whatever
