There hasn’t been any indication of that yet. Darius Slay has spoken about how he has sat down with Fangio in his office to discuss the defense and whatnot already.

Obviously, things can change, but I really do wonder if Fangio just didn’t want to be in Miami and wanted to stay in Philly closer to home at this point in his career. It’s been clear by now that Fangio was planning on being the Eagles’ DC last year had Gannon not led the team to believe he would stick around.

It sucks that things didn’t work out between Fangio and the players and it seems like Fangio wasn’t giving his best to the team, even if the defense played well for a stretch of time last year. It does remain on my radar how the vibes will be if the Eagles lose, like, three in a row. Time will tell

Regarding Caden Sterns, specifically, I don’t think he’s here specifically because of Fangio. I’m sure that he played a role in acquiring him, but I did hear another Eagles beat reporter speak on a podcast about how the team was interested in him during the 2021 draft and a in 2022 when the Eagles and Broncos were discussing a potential Jalen Reagor trade.
