The Wu Tang solo records always remind me of Paid in Full even tho Erik B & Rakim aren’t Wu Tang. Probably because when I was 15 i thought they were lol. Great record

I also have a soft spot for Bobby Digital even though it’s nowhere near the quality of LS, OB4CL, Tical, or SC.

 

And yeah I got into the Inspectah Deck album late but it’s great

Ian is the logical result of “modern Hip Hop fans” and certain big artists as well as mainstream music media turning (mainstream) Hip Hop into what’s essentially purely an aesthetic rather than a culture, regardless of how often the world “culture” is being thrown around still
