Even if a majority of it didn't make sense, Prometheus was still a really fun movie.

the lore surrounding the movie was more fun than the movie itself. covenant is a much more successful film.

welp, back in here because TikTok spoiled part of the movie for me anyways. still looking forward to seeing it tomorrow night though.

The twist at the end of Alien Covenant was too obvious by the way Scott shot the fight scene.

  6. Sometimes I think a twist like that isn't meant to surprise you so much as make you dread what you realize is happening in real-time.

i won't comment on the nature of the spoiler i saw, but if it's true, there's a twist-related element of this film that i'm not sure some people would like - both regarding its concept and execution. we'll see how it goes.

An inconsequential shift as the continents drift.

I don't even remember a twist in Covenant, like sincerely

Watching Aliens, its mentioned that the reactor on the base is a fusion reactor, and they're worried its going to release a thermonuclear explosion, which isn't a thing with fusion reactors, so not sure why they didn't make it a fission reactor instead.

I just remember the two Fassbender dudes fighting each other in a very funny style and laughing hysterically in the theater at it

This feels like a James Cameron telling someone to shut the fuck up about it comment lol.

I havent spoiled myself. I’m just gonna let the film speak for itself. Sometimes stupid stuff on paper can work on screen (although maybe rarely).

i'm really hoping it works, but without saying a ton as to not spoil anything (if true), i think there's a fair amount of precedent that might suggest some mixed-to-negative reception. i want to be proven wrong and i'm hoping they pull everything off in the right way.

Got my tickets for tomorrow night. Right now it's just me and two other people. I'm going to sit next to them and ask if they can hold my hand.

devils advocate, if it’s indeed to tie Prometheus or Covenant in, it doesn’t seem like a fortunate decision for me personally haha

not sure if what i saw has any direct connections to those two, tbh (although i wouldn't be surprised). i'll say more when it's out.

just saw the AM early screening, and this is going to be divisive. I love Fede but not sure he pulled this part off visually.

This is replacing Deadpool at the local 4DX and I got a taste of it with the trailer and that's a hard nope because I'm a huge pansy.

tbh it’s not that scary, the best way I can describe it is the first half is Alien and the second half is Aliens. Theres maybe 2-3 jump scares.
