Im playing Lunar Silver Star Story for the first time in a decade (i've been on a classic JRPG kick if you couldn't tell) and MAN I hope every single JRPG fan in this thread has played this game. It is TREMENDOUS.

 

yeah some story missions let you try out agents you wouldn't usually have access to, kind of on a mission-long loan.

But how do I purchase/or unlock new agents? I’m 5 hours in so shouldn’t be in a “preview/trial mode”?

you can be in preview trial mode any time the game wants you to try out a new agent in the story. however, you can manually turn off trial mode in the character select screen if you want to play the mission with your own agents.

you can actually "purchase" them by doing a signal search

Lunar 2 is one of the few video games to ever make me cry. Both of those games are the model for what every RPG should hope to be.

Yeah. I’ve played True Colors and bought the deluxe that included the remaster. Finally playing through since the sequel is coming out soon lol
