Was thinking about this yesterday, if we entered into an agreement for a SAVE repayment plan and this falls through and they say we have to pay a different amount than what we agreed to, where does that leave us legally?

 

just don’t pay…everything is in such flux rn the lenders aren’t able to keep up with everything changing on a wimb.

 

oh I ain't paying shit until they absolutely make me I was just curious how they can force people into another agreement.

 

I don’t think they can, I think this is going to delay repayment even further. I’ve heard some fed lenders are moving loans back into forebearance due to the uncertainty.

I was able to run out the SOL on my private loans and got them dismissed. I will absolutely not pay the govt a cent until I get the notice that they plan to garnish wages, not a moment earlier will I pay them. Took them 5yrs of nonpayment pre covid before they tried to move forward with a garnishment.

 

Aren't we all forced to start paying again next month?

for some context, this money is part of the $14 billion to Israel that congress passed in April. So I'm just curious for anyone who might know, since this is something that was passed by congress and signed by Biden already, is there a deadline to when the money can be released to them? Or if Biden had a change of heart could he basically withhold is forever?
