Also another bet of mine: they're gonna make Mayor Pete Ambassador to the UN. It's more prestigious than Secretary of Transportation and a promotion. He doesn't quite have the creds to make him Secretary of State or Defence yet, but UN is a good stepping stool to the eventual cabinet roles he can build a future legit presidential campaign on.

They want to groom him into a real future presidential contender. He can't get elected to senate or governor of Indiana. He can't run for POTUS with just head of DoT on his resume. They're gonna give him something that will give him the foreign policy experience to eventually give him a marquee cabinet spot years from now.

Keep in mind this was 2007, a time when Dennis Kucinich was without a doubt considered the most left wing member of the house. So even if you don't count Bernie because he was a senator by then, it is still wrong.
