Ya know, despite all that’s been said about ttpd it has quietly slotted into the number 3 or 4 slot for me in Taylor’s discog. I don’t listen to the anthology part much but the (imo) proper album feels a lot more diverse today than it did upon release. Even the first half is a bit long in itself but I still listen pretty regularly.

 

Re: Taylor rankings, there's a new and very enjoyable episode of Popcast Deluxe where the two hosts go through and rank the catalog. Very different from anyone's in here, but I enjoyed their perspectives.

That said, TTPD is slotting in either 9th or 10th for me at the moment.

props to RAYE. that's a huge score on top of an already outstanding past couple years.

 

I kind of felt like that after all the openers were announced throughout the entire tour, Phoebe, HAIM, Paramore, Gracie, Girl In Red, Gayle, Muna, Sabrina etc. it’s nice to add some diversity and have Raye performing! I know Beabadoobee and Owenn performed at earlier dates but still, having more diversity on the biggest tour ever is never a bad thing. This will be a great opportunity for Raye for sure!

 

No shade on Gracie or Girl in Red or Sabrina or any of the other Taylor disciples of the moment, but I wish Holly Humberstone was getting the attention they are. Imo, she’s the strongest songwriter of that mini “class.”

 

Her debut was shockingly good, I had been a bit worried that she might have just been one of those viral tiktok stars that doesn't follow through on an album, quality-wise, but she really did.

 

yeah her album is easily my favorite of that crew's albums

 

Guys, my ex made me a video of all these fun moments we had to the music of "all to well", and she matched the words to things in the video. It's so thoughtful and I love it so much.

I like Maisie too, but I don’t think she’s nearly as talented as Holly.
