I'm gonna need a live feed of Hillary Clinton on election night the moment she learns the US has elected its first woman president and a guy named Tim will be VP

 

The vibes in August 2016 were certainly not like this for Hilary Clinton's campaign. Felt like every step of the way was embarrassing but we had to suck it up and vote for her to try our best to avoid Trump. This is different.

 

The cold keeps the bad people out!

As someone who was used to modest snow from Thanksgiving through maybe Valentines Day and then moved here, it was a rude awakening. But a few things help:

1. You get one winter hobby (XC skiing, snowshoeing, trivia) and go all in. I ski 3x weekly now with people from the age of 20-65. You meet your neighbors. You get in shape. You have a beer in the parking lot afterward and feel zero guilt.

2. When the weather sucks, you make a warm meal and fully embrace hygge. Read by a fireplace for a few months. Watch Netflix every night until the roads clear and then you go to every restaurant that’s running a huge special because they’re as happy to be out of the snow as you are.

Or you just fucking walk around in it, astounded by the beauty and serenity of a fresh coat of powder. A snowy night coupled with a sunny morning is a hit of Vitamin D that even the best summer day (which we are having today) can’t match.

 

I now have higher hopes for the Dem ticket compared to 2016 and 2020

 

The beauty that exists on a really cold, but sunny day in MN, is truly amazing. I remember taking walks around Lake Calhoun during the winter and the way the light was reflecting off everything was beautiful

 

I really want to move to MPLS in a few years. I could transfer to the four seasons there after a year if I have a good record and I really might

 

The vibes were similar to when people discuss Bon Iver and I think to myself i’m not a fan of this person, but I have to assume based on their popularity/status that there are many people who are.

The further we move away from 2016, the more and more it looks like an anomaly. Running a very weak candidate after 8 years of the same party being in the white house.
