Great fight by Japan despite the refs and the complete lack of offense to start the OT.

Wemby and Gobert are going to be tough to overcome.

 

It was very satisfying to see SGA block the shit out of Giddey today (I don’t care if it was actually a foul). It was a great game overall though. Olympic RJ Barrett is an interesting development.

Japan was extremely fun in the World Cup last year. It’s nice to see that momentum carrying over here even if they didn’t get the win.

 

Also Giannis was an absolute beast. We really need to get this guy some teammates. I still can’t believe none of his brothers panned out. Like not even as a role player.

I think that's the right move. Wondering if Embiid will get any time at all, honestly. I see Kerr going with two centers today, rather than three.

 

Really impressive first quarter for the US. South Sudan can play, but the US's defense has been incredible.

Even though USA has this, still impressive play from South Sudan tonight; could certainly see them advance to the next round, which would be huge for the program.

He wasn't wrong about Kerr going with two centers, though. Kerr chose the right two, too.

AD's and Bam's mobility were needed against this South Sudan team and obviously, Embiid hasn't been great so far.

 

That's fair, but suggestioning they bench the one center they have that can guard 1-5 when they need to worry about wings is just crazy lol

sad how his career nosedived after he left utah. him and donovan would have been cool to watch.
