Honestly most excited for Ralph Ineson as Galactus in these next few movies - Ralph rarely misses

The aesthetic based on the footage is pretty cool. Pascal works as a 50/60s era Reed better than I expected (looks wise anyway)

I would've been surprised if it were an origin considering they're planning to pepper so many villains into this film. Wasn't it said the opening was going to be liike a montage of different foes to more or less reintroduce the characters or did I hallucinate that?

 

Loved the look of the trailer. Hopefully they post the real thing online somewhat soon

Never doubted the Pascal casting, they knocked it out of the park in that dept. Galactus in the trailer looked sick.

 

wouldn’t be surprised if galactus is just this movie though. tony doom in the two avengers movies and then i’d imagine mcu universe doom for f4 2

 

With a July release date, I’d bet we don’t get a first public trailer until Brave New World. D&W had the same week release date this year and dropped its first teaser during the Super Bowl.

 

I dunno if I'd like that cause then you end up with a Doom with no real connection to that FF.

 

If RDJ’s Doom has a substantial role in FF then they probably had to rework the movie fairly recently. So if they did rework it to give Doom an actual role in it, then that most likely means we’re not getting the original vision they had for the movie. And that’s fine, but I just really hope Doom doesn’t feel rushed now.

 

i don’t think he’ll be in the movie in much more than a credit stinger lol they already have two very large villains in it

i wouldn’t be surprised if he ties into thunderbolts though

 

One is extremely large.

 

But Pen has a point that the lack of connection between Doom and the FF would be an issue. Him only showing up at the end or during a credit scene doesn’t give them any setup before they show up together in Avengers now. So I think they would’ve had to change their plan and give him a role in FF.

He also doesn’t have to be a villain in FF, so there being two villains doesn’t really mean much.

 

Who’s the other villain at this point?

 

they already said this isn’t going to be an origin story so there’s no reason Doom can’t be alluded to but not seen until avengers

 

i would have to imagine silver surfer will be established as a villain and turn, just as they always do with that character

 

The footage is very cool. The retro future 60s look is a great choice.

 

FF not being an origin story doesn’t mean Doom shouldn’t have a role showing their relationship before the huge Avengers movie. He’s supposed to have a relationship with FF and skipping all that and just alluding to their past friendship would be a bummer imo.

I’m just saying that I don’t want everything with Doom to feel rushed just because they’re trying to bounce back. He’s not just a throwaway villain
