I kind of saw that coming but also I really like how it ended tbh I would’ve gone for the son if one of the kids did it but I think they led us down that path to blind side us with the daughter but when they opened the episode with the flashback of the daughter talking about dissociating I pretty much clocked it I think that makes it stupid obvious tbh and I hate when whodonit shows do that and point to the answer in an obvious way in recaps. i do think we probably didn’t need to see the daughter at Carolyn’s committing the murder and yeah that scene just felt so canned lol should’ve just let us imagine how that convo went, just show Carolyn answering her at the door at leave it at that imo. I did think it was effective how rusty started accusing Barbara and was so sure she did it and I really thought for a second she was dissociating and really did it because that actress is fucking incredible. overall I give the season a solid 8 and I’m excited to see what they do with a season 2 and a new case. Also why is delay guardia so fucking creepy and unsettling

I loved Delay lol, he and Ray gave me a ton of laughs throughout the season

I had called for most of season that two people were separately involved and that Rusty was one of them, just wasn’t sure if he did the killing or the tying. Was pretty certain person #2 was the wife though so it was a nice surprise when it wasn’t.

I hated delay at first cause he was so weird but put that dude in everything. Also the more I think about it the more I hate the ending.

Just finished it because of the recommendations on here. I conclude the acting is good and a lot else on here is not great. Also, I swear the interior shots were some of the most dimly-lit scenes I've seen on an Apple TV+ show.

Good show, not good ending. But it was fun, could be a cool anthology

I hated him so much in the “man this actor is good at making me hate their character” kinda way

if anyone's considering this, both plans limit Max to 1080p only if no 4K is a dealbreaker

Dammit. Honestly might have to get that. But no 4K sucks.

still mad they yanked it away from those that get Max free with AT&T. to be fair, most of the stuff i watch on the platform is only in 1080p (i.e. Doctor Who) so it's not the biggest loss, but it would be nice to have Atmos back.

  13. I switched to the bundle. No yearly billing option is a shame, but I still end up saving ~$100/year by getting this bundle and canceling my annual Max sub (which was the non-4K option anyway).

Nico Della Guardia's character portrayal was amazing. Dude made every sentence sound villainous. Also, these characters have the best names.

I didn’t find his character villainous. He was usually a reasoned voice in the absurdity of the situation involving a love triangle of victim, accused, and prosecutor

Oh yeah, funny thing is he was actually the rational one, but nearly every line delivery had a snark to it.

He had a delivery that I can only describe as "I don't know why he is talking like that, but I'm intrigued."

Yeah his line delivery was insane, almost cartoonish.

I posted this in the wrong thread last night, but I just watched Babylon on prime. Maybe my expectations were low because of the headlines last year of it being a critical and box office bomb, but I actually really enjoyed it.

Anyway the more I think about it the more I like the ending even if the execution wasn’t perfect. the garage scene BEFORE the daughter confesses was insane and Ruth Negga deserves every award for that scene alone. and both Gylenhaal and Saarsgard for their closing statement performances

the worst scene in the show is the flashback reveal and the scenes that come next. which is honestly what I expect. most shows that are entirely based around a singular mystery tend to lose their appeal after the fact.
