Yeah, the whole "per sources" means it's obviously fake, but it's funny to think of a world where she is dating a french centre back who lives halfway around the world.

I don’t know what to think about that Paraguay red card. I don’t think it should be a red given how the game is reffed, but would I be sad if that was clamped down on and refs until players stop doing it? Not at all.

  6. These details make more sense. Still crazy.

This is something I absolutely hate about pre season tours. 7 starting/potential starting players not training with the rest for the next two weeks right up to the start of the season.

Great for Gangwon, having a great season this year, currently 4th in the league, which would be a record finish for them, and would get them... I think the 2nd tier of Asian football? I'm not sure how it works now with the restructuring.

Minhyuk has been quality this year, 7 goals and 3 assists in his first 4~5 months of professional football at 17/18 is a decent return I'd say. Everyone has been raving about him, hope he does well for Spurs when he makes it across.

Here's a little write-up about him from K League United, if anyone is interested.

Glad to see more K League players making the jump. I've seen Kim Jisoo is in the first team for Brentford's preseason too after his transfer last year, hopefully he pushes on too.

Also I'll get my annual K League TV advertisement in here by saying "hey, anyone curious about him over a full match can check him out yourself if you're curious in just 2 days against the team that won the league 7 times between 2014 and 2021 (only losing out in 2016, and subsequently 2022 and 2023) who are now flirting with relegation, for FREE!!!!!!!!!!"

  14. Also just saw on Twitter, Tim Cahill debuted for Everton 20 years ago on this day. Never have I felt fucking older than hearing that.

  15. I might actually check out some of his games! He does look like an exciting prospect. Everything I’ve read from people who follow that league is in line with what you’re saying. A ton of hype.

And I’d imagine Spurs will be a nice landing spot for him. Son being captain + Ange’s familiarity and coaching history in that region of the world should help him adapt to not just the game in England, but life as well.

Him staying at Gangwon is great for his development too. Since he's an Under-22 player, and the K League has an U-22 quota for maximum subs allowed (so basically a soft cap), he seems to start every game for them because he's very good and fits the quota.

Then he gets to go to Spurs with a full season of professional football, and gets to work alongside what I assume is his idol in Son, who like you say will also help him adapt. Honestly a good deal for all involved, I just hope Gangwon are getting a good fee, or at least a sell-on.

Just gotta hope on hope that we're not relegated this season.

  18. If they are, it makes it easier for me to go to a Blackburn/Everton game in the Championship next year assuming Blackburn aren’t in League One lmao

I think i’m actually ok with it this go around, Honestly would’ve kept all of the tournament participators back at Harrington going through light training compared to getting burnt out on tour. The kids and a handful of first teamers like Rashford will benefit from this tour but most should just be recuperating. Community Shield you think would be main run out for starting squad and i’m sure we’ll get a behind closed doors friendly or two if need be.

  20. Good deal for all 3 parties

  21. Getting the sense more and more that Djed Spence is going to win the backup RB spot. We’ve been fairly quiet in this window, but if Spence is finally what we all thought he’d be…him, Gray, and Bergvall already make a nice window (if you consider Spence like a new signing).

I think we’ll add 2-3 more players this summer. If those signings deliver, we’re going to have pretty good depth across the board.

Shows how crazily bad we were run, that £35m is our joint record sale lol.

Insane given we're historically the third biggest club in the country.

On the plus side, Calafiori is done. Someone posted this on r/gunners and it gave me 'Nam-style flashbacks.

    "2019: Sokratis - Mustafi - Lischteiner - Holding - Mavropanos - Chambers

    2024: Gabriel - Saliba -Timber - White - Calafiori - Tomiyasu"

  24. 2020 Spurs: old Toby, Dier, Sanchez, Tanganga, Aurier, Doherty

2024 Spurs: Romero, VDV, Dragusin, Udogie, Porro, Spence + whoever we sign

Davies on both teams. I trash him a lot but he’s still a good squad player.

Huge upgrades to the backline though.
