I like it and have no issues with the mix. I love how prominent the acoustic guitar is.

 

The deluxe for Lament was only $60 which I thought was pretty fair at the time. $100 seems excessive. I like that there's some "making of" content in this book. I think the previous one was just photography and digital art.

Same here. I'd assumed it would have been the same as/variation of their Instagram profile image. That said, my pre order is in!

 

Artwork looks cool animated on Apple Music but it’s definitely lackluster. They should have gone with the deluxe book artwork instead.

 

This whole quieter mix thing is also on Lament. At least in streaming for Apple Music.

I either spin the record whenever I want to listen to it or use a digital copy I got outside of streaming that sounds better. Not sure if this is a Ross Robinson problem or what but I hate it lol

I wonder if it’s something to do with volume normalization. It *should* just be an adjustment but I wouldn’t put it past the services from fucking it up.

Now I need to find my vinyl download of Lament and see if there’s a difference.

I think Stage Four is probably their best but I really can’t bring myself to listen to it much. “Skyscraper” is a song that can make me cry just thinking about it.
