This really feels like something that got the Streisand Effect from Jack Black's original message. Despite one right-wing Australian politician threatening to "deport them," I think they easily could have issued an apology and just continued touring. Instead, JB is gonna have to answer hundreds of questions of if him and KG are okay while promoting that terrible "Borderlands" movie.

Also, kind of sad to see some KG's recent posts on IG.

This definitely only blew up because JB is a coward and made it a whole thing. KG would’ve gotten shit from the nuts for a bit but the majority of people wouldn’t have given a shit and it would be forgotten about like every other “controversy”. There was no reason for it to play out like this.

About 8-9 years ago I was walking in O'Hare Airport to my gate and heard "Jesus Christ" coming out of one of the bars. At the time I thought it was super cool.

Well, you have people from one side who feel bad when they say something that hurts other people and you have one side that enjoys hurting people with their words.

If you justify yourself saying that the other side did it first then you are lowering yourself to their level.

It's almost like when inciting violence as a main part of your platform, you're setting yourself up for violent things to happen. If joe had been shot by a Democrat trump would be joking how Dems hate Joe so much even his own party tried to kill him.

If people don't wanna make jokes or whatever about violence that is fine but the pearl clutching is weird. Some think if they go high it'll win over the extremists eventually, but it won't. They will always operate in a different reality and keep moving the goal posts.

Also it prob sucks to have such a long term friend drop you (at least publicly) over something like that. Felt the same when Anderson Cooper dropped Kathy griffin. Loser behavior.

I think we’re forgetting that not missing Donald Trump also results in the firefighter not dying.

Yes, the firefighter also turned out to be a terrible person who wished harm on others, but still.

I’m sure the Melanie Martinez fanbase will have an extremely reasonable and not at all toxic reaction to this

As a Beach Bunny fan, who has supported them for years now, it was really disappointing seeing them go on tour with Melanie, especially since they dropped off a different tour they were set to open previously (Panic! At The Disco) due to allegations.

Did she file a civil suit? It sucks but I’m not sure what else she’s thinking is going to come from airing these allegations again. The fanbase is obviously going to attack her again.

It’s fucked up and Melanie is trash but I don’t know what her end game is here, the fans just don’t care.

If anything it's nice she responded to the misconceptions. I've seen one or two posts on here wanting to know what came of the allegations so it's nice to hear a response to the fans' dismissal of the allegations

Idk if this is the best place to ask but what happened with the allegations against Soul Blind? I saw a reddit post about the original accusations but I don't see anything about what came after.

Is the OP (JOHNNY_TSUNAMI_88) part of the hardcore scene? I saw that post in the Hardcore subreddit but could not figure out what their relation was to the hardcore scene or music in general.

  25. The 88 is super suspect. The whole thing is bizarre because that band has songs that are pro-immigration, pro-women, and anti-cop, so...mixed messaging lol
