  4. Not happy that Spurs will have to go against him, but glad Madrid weren’t able to bully a club into giving them another star.

That’s a lot of pressure on a teenage centreback. I would be surprised if he hits his full stride for a year or two at best. Centre backs tend to get better with experience.

Would be utterly insane if we got either of them to be honest.

Yeah that’s probably why we’re still interested in the above 2.

I know this is silly and fans of other teams will laugh. But it’s insane how much quicker we are signing players this year. Last year we signed Onana and had to wait two weeks for the club to confirm. The year before we signed Eriksen on a free (!!!!!!) and had to wait 3 weeks for him to be confirmed. So many players brought in and missing their first pre season, it’s crazy.

seriously though, the difference is already night and day with how things are functioning. I think this time last year it was only Onana confirmed and a lot of dilly-dallying on Mount?

It seems like a rarity these days for the player not to agree terms first. Maybe it's because he's a Liverpool fan? lol

Romano just said we agreed terms with Ugarte while negotiating for Yoro. Is this what supporting a real club feels like during the window? :verysad:

Would that be the staring midfield?

Probably yeah. Ugarte slipping in for Case essentially.

Yes, it's literally "the tank". Which sounds a bit problematic from a German point of view, but I'll let it pass for someone half the world away. They obviously don't know the connotation and don't mean ill using it.

Isn't there a minimum age in the MLS?

In the Bundesliga it's 16 I think and it even used to be 18 at some point. I remember when we signed Roque Santa Cruz when he was 17 and he couldn't play in the Bundesliga yet. He made his first appearances in the CL for us.

no, i think it's just a matter of complying with local, state, and federal child labor laws

for example, if the match had happened during the school year (august to may, something like that), he possibly couldn't have played after 9pm on a weekday school night

overly simplistic answer but that's the sort of regulation the team and the league would be concerned about running into

Yeah, those rules would come on top here in Germany too. That is also why there was a bit of confusion about Lamine Yamal's substitutions at the Euros. I think under 18 year olds are only allowed to work until 20:00, but there are exceptions for sports, where it is allowed until 23:00.

Just imagine the uproar if a seasoned professional goes in hard on Sullivan.

Really hoping to see the outgoings start to ramp up soon for United, we can probably afford to bring in Ugarte without selling anyone else but any more defensive reinforcements will need sales to complete.

Casemiro, McTominay, Wan Bissaka, one of Lindelof/Maguire, Sancho all being rumored to leave. Eriksen was quite unhappy with lack of playing time and i’m sure he’ll leave as well.

I hope we bring Rabiot in on a free, we need more pure CMs with Mount and Bruno both working best as 10s and Ugarte being a defensive midfielder (assuming that gets done).

There’s no way a full transformation will get done all in this window but if we can get a Maguire/Lindelof gone and replaced with a De Ligt/Branthwaite/other I’ll consider that a grade A window. I don’t like our group of wingers and I think our midfield will still be a bit light but I can actually see a future where there’s a squad ready to compete for honors by the end of next summer window.

  21. Casemiro to Saudi Arabia has been the buzz. He should just go to MLS and call it a day.

nah nah nah if everyone else gets a way overpriced payday for selling an over the hill big name to the Saudis so do United

Yeah his agent is doing the rounds of academies, but I’d expect he ends up at Bayern tbh.

If he does go United, he looks incredibly promising, but the pathway to the first team is his key deciding factor apparently.
