I’ll agree the show’s best episode is “Charlie Work”, but my favourite is “The Gang Broke Dee”. The bad stand-up alone puts it there for me

It's impossible not to laugh when she gags and you just hear someone shout off-screen "JESUS CHRIST!"

Been rewatching season 16 and man, “Frank Vs. Russia” is a top tier episode for me.

Sucks about the pod. I’m glad they said something about it instead of everyone just waiting and hoping for new episodes.

I figured it was done at this point anyway. I really enjoyed it while it was happening but the more distance I got from it the more I realized that it kinda made me look at the guys in a different (and not necessarily good) way, especially Rob

It made me like all the guys a lot more, to be honest lol.

If I had to nitpick, I would say the podcast sort of changed the experience of watching new episodes. I was taken out of it a bit. I think I became way too familiar with the guys and their whole process so I was very "aware" of their acting and how the jokes were written (like the finale coming from Glenn's whole Tesla saga).

I was finding it tougher to be immersed in the show, I guess. The curtain might have been pulled back too much.

I think for me the podcast furthered the divide between celebrity and real person. There’s almost nothing relatable about them in their quest for personal optimization, which is why I found Charlie the most endearing, because he seemed to be the least “professional.”

Celebrities are not real people. Thats why its fun to listen to their everyday living.

I agree with this too about the immersion, I think I said this before but I could really see them “acting” in a way I couldn’t before.

Pretty much what @JRGComedy was saying. They came across as very “Hollywood” and out of touch, particularly Glenn and Rob. I know they’ve been rich and famous for almost two decades now but before the pod they were definitely better at hiding it and coming across as more down to earth. Rob especially rubbed me the wrong way, Glenn was at least funny about it
