I like how they've built up The Elite side of things to feel bigger and bigger as that "corporate" heel faction...but it feels deeply weird that most of the crux of the AEW originals arent really fighting them. Like, Darby/The Acclaimed/Briscoe is the best they got? Obviously Eddie is hurt, but, why werent Garcia/Menard folded into this? They wrote off Orange Cassidy from this? Hook's written off tv? I dunno, just feels like they missed the chance to make the AEW side have any chance at mattering...and its doubly weird with Britt back since she's a bigger AEW original star than anyone in that match on the AEW side.
