You’d decided this before you even heard it. So freaking boring man.

The whole “This is a concept album” is such a cop-out for Eminem to respond to people that will only listen or quote the anti-trans/pronouns songs by saying “No, you see on GC2, I actually say I’m against that. It was Slim Shady saying that!”

I also very much didn’t decide it before I heard it! I went in with as open a mind as you’d want someone to!

Responding to any criticism with “you had your mind made up” is way more boring than whatever you think it is I’m doing which is just critically analyzing what’s in front of me

I don’t see how “I’m sick of so many pronouns” and “a man is a man no matter the surgery they get” among others is humorous and not hateful and I think the slim shady persona thing doesn’t hold up under even the slightest amount of scrutiny

The album is not perfect but to say it’s the worst listening experience of your life is laughable. Absolutely laughable.

Half an hour from me a young trans girl lost her life because of thoughts like this. Fuck “jokes” like the ones on this album. Fuck the “concept”.

The album passed 100m streams in two days. I guess people were asking for an album from him in 2024 eh.

How am I on a high horse when I'm defending my opinion against people who seem to assume they know everything about me based on me saying I thought an album was alright. This place is sanctimonious as hell

The worst part about this release is that the critics are (deservedly) bashing it so hard, that Eminem will now rapid fire release 2-3 more albums in the next 12-18 months bitching about how the critics don't understand him.

Imagine defending this and this being some of the least heinous shit on the album.

Are you serious right now? I'm not even defending him or the album (the album is fine, I just think some people are being ridiculous) but this is a clearly a reference for wordplay's sake. She talked about doing that and he's making a reference to it. Why are we so willing to go to bat for celebrities whose personal lives we shouldn't even be so privy to or care so much about

    Die rad.

This was the first record I've listened to of his since Encore and I honestly didnt hate it. Not nearly as good as the first three albums, but its still got some classic eminem songs. Granted "classic" to many now are offensive and I get why, just saying I was actually surprised that he still got it (to a certain extent.) Not an album I think I'll ever revisit after the next week or two or care enough to learn the lyrics, but I dont think its terrible.

Eminem is so psyched he made up Slim Shady 25 years ago so that in 2024 he can say the r-word all he wants and people will just be like "uh you don't get the concept, MARSHALL doesn't WANT to say that word!"
