I’m about halfway through with Shogun but my problem is I keep putting it on as a background show and then I’m not reading the subtitles and I don’t speak Japanese so half the time I don’t know what’s happening

 

Yeah it's not a good background show.

 

I hope we never do!

 

Finished A Man in Full on Netflix. It was above average but if I’m being brutally honest the main reason I finished it was because I love Jeff Daniels

 

give American Rust a go then, it’s decent enough but Daniels is great as always.

 

Season 1 of Severance was really an example of releasing at the absolute most perfect time in history for it's subject matter. Seeing that while working from home during the pandemic after years of working in a giant corporate office complex and starting to realize how bizarre modern office culture is after being apart from it hit so hard.

 

Honestly Apple TV+ in general during the Pandemic is the case study. Severance's timing was perfect, but so too was Ted Lasso

 

Anyone watch Sunny on Apple TV yet?

 

As I continue my LOST rewatch, I am currently starting season 2.

And I just had the thought about how this show was a master class in progressing at a snails pace and I can’t imagine a show doing this today and getting away with it.

Okay, maybe that’s an over statement. But I see people complaining (online in general, no necessarily here) about the pacing for The Acolyte or episodes being too short or needing more episodes. I can’t imagine people trying to watch LOST for the first time and they’re full 43 minute episodes that took so long to progress some things with 20+ posters for the first few seasons.

Obviously, they’re very different shows. But it’s just some random thoughts that came to me.

 

Anyone else have issues with the Apple TV app? I have used it on my tv and multiple Rokus and it always freezes. No issues with Netflix, Plex, Disney, etc.

 

the only issues i've ever had on my Chromecast With Google TV (4K) is that occasionally surround sound might cut out/not activate, but that's only partially an Apple problem and partially a soundbar problem.

 

Apple TV app seems to work fine on my Chromecast with Google TV, Shield TV Pro, and LG WebOS

 

Never had a problem with Apple TV on my roku tv

 

The only issue I have is during the recaps of shows it skips and the audio cuts out every time.

 

Just finished Black Bird on Apple TV. Thought it was incredible. Anyone else watch?

Ugh. I like the show but dont need them to milk more out of it.

 

I would agree but I read that season 2 is gonna be about an different case so it might work but we'll see.
