This mix is making the album finally click for me. I was bummed out that their was a Gaslight album I didn't have an urge to revisit. Not anymore.

 

Truly never seen a band admit the original mix didn’t hit so soon after the record came out. And yeah, this sounds super better to me.

 

“Positive Charge” sounds a lot more dynamic, especially in the chorus. This is absolutely a stronger mix for me, can’t wait to revisit this record.

Since the Bandcamp free download (absolutely love it) only included the original album, I'm assuming the songs from Short Stories weren't touched? Ocean Eyes sounded the same to me, but I don't have the best hearing so I'd love if someone can confirm.

If that's the case, I'll combine my two downloads and then pay for the Little Fires remix to complete the Expanded Edition.

EDIT: Disregard. The Short Stories songs already show up as Purchased for me when looking at the Expanded Edition on iTunes.

Again, this is so cool. It's crazy how much better the album sounds.

Okay yeah the remixed Little Fires (a song I love but had an egregiously terrible mix on the album) is SO much better. Fuck.

 

FUCK ME RUNNING THE REMIXED VERSION OF I LIVE IN THE ROOM ABOVE HER IS UNREAL GOOD

 

It is the song that has elevated the most for me from this. So fucking good!

 

That riff just absolutely crushes. They opened the show with it in Glasgow in March and it sounded massive live. Glad the album version got that kind of spit and polish.

 

Little Fires suddenly sounds like something off Handwritten. This is so so awesome.

 

This truly is the best news (couldn't get into this album at ALL due to the mix). Props to the band for the transparency and doing this. So so cool.

 

A fun surprise. Can’t wait to listen to it later.

 

Really wish they'd release this new version on vinyl.
