they have one album and are playing a venue I saw Joyce manor and the hotelier at in 2016 they’re doing fine for the kind of band they are and I know a few people outside of this website who love them

    The record came out
My thoughts were based on the fact that the record came out like 10 months ago at this point. They are doing just fine. But between the network of people they have behind them and how good I thought the album was I thought they would have gained a bit more momentum since then. Being support on larger tours, etc. They would have been perfect for that ADTR/TSSF tour right now. But they’ll get there.

TSSF is taking them out on their US headliner either later this year or early next year. Feel like heading ~3-500 cap rooms is on track for a band with one full length out

Getting booked as main support for big bands is so important to "blowing up". Having good albums alone isn't enough. Need an energetic live show that convinces casuals to become fans. Look at how Hot Mulligan became so popular - WWIW was an excellent record but Sad Summer + the FOB/JEW tour exposed them to a whole new audience.

They’re opening for TSSF later this year and this coheadliner with one step closer is a great tour for them as well. I’m just curious what yall expect out of melo hardcore bands in 2024. it isn’t 2003 the only band even remotely crossing over is turnstile and that’s it

seeing life’s a pill live was a highlight of my entire life and my girl got the mic during it (I got the mic during leap years by osc) that was the time of our life. also fyi plenty of people in this city going nuts for them which is saying a ton since we don’t have a particularly large scene the way other cities do

Squint and Direct Measure are great St. Louis hardcore bands. Time and Pressure was also really good, but they broke up and have members in Squint. Direct Measure does it all, having other bands and put on shows for other artists.

Actually correction: acoustic version of Ten Digits Away coming tomorrow, but I believe there are a couple new/unreleased tracks to come as well. Not sure if they’re for a deluxe of this or a standalone release
