One of the best character deaths I’ve seen in a while. She went out like a true Targ

 

Best episode of the season. Maybe the entire show

seeing the dragon sequence in this episode made me unreasonably excited for gods eye

 

The actor who plays Aegon has been doing a fantastic job

 

I somehow avoided a lot of spoilers so far but I sadly know that one and yeah it’s going to be so good.

 

So is aemond next in the line of succession?

 

In the book it would have been Aegon’s infant son Maelor, but as far as we can tell he doesn’t exist in this world so…it would be Aemond

 

Is this Alyn guy in the book (which I haven’t read)? It’s getting very annoying now how each ep has a scene where it’s like “hey this guy’s great!” and literally nothing else comes of it

 

I love the attack strategy of having the dragon fly upside down to claw at the underside of the enemy dragon. Clearly more effective than breathing fire which seems to have basically no effect on enemy dragons. Plus I guess all these Targaryens have Dany’s invulnerability to fire as well? Lol

 

Wait so are we to assume Aegon was dead there or what?

 

No, Aemond was going to finish him off before being stopped. Plus the teaser for the next ep showed Alicent gawking at Aegon in his bed. So, likely badly injured, but definitely not dead

 

It’s left to be ambiguous. There is a line in the preview for next week’s episode where Alicent is asking if he is alive

 

rhaenys pretty clearly alluded to him being corlys’ bastard this episode - i think it’s safe to say stuff is coming of the appearances

 

also showing his brother in awe of the riderless dragon makes me assume he at least plays a role in the books

 

Yeah rhaenys all but called him Corlys’ bastard, which we actually do not know for sure in the books so. Another book rumor possibly confirmed there?

 

man they took Rhaenys and Jeckie away from us in a matter of weeks

 

I’m so glad they’re doing the weird magic shit with the Daemon storyline. Them shying away from some of it in GOT was such a bummer.
