they don’t call it a swimming hole

 

Where I come from every other damn house has a pool so we have to have a different name for something that’s more backwoods and in a river

But a SWIMMING HOLE. With the rope to swing from that some random person tied there 27 years ago, and the smooth rocks underneath that aren’t sharp but also aren’t muddy, and the spot that’s deep enough to jump into from a rock etc

most of a river is NOT good for swimming cause it’s either filled with mud or way too shallow or full of sharp rocks etc, that’s what I mean by the phrase swimming hole

 

Im just playin fam. Ive come around to Femininomenon but SGUM still isnt really hittin it for me.

 

It’s not like a whole lake and it’s not springs but it’s just an area of the river upstream where the water pools together and is tucked into crevasses of rocks / surrounded by trees etc. it’s a very specific thing

 

My dad’s got a ft long scar on his stomach/chest from diving into a creek when he was young and a branch under the water fucked him up
