  2. Alasdair Gold gave a little update on which attacking players we’re going for. Sounds like Doue is the most likely. Eze is still top choice but he says Palace seem very confident he stays. And then he mentioned Nico as a guy we really like but it’ll be tough to win that battle.

Doue looks very exciting. Could be a great player. But I would like to add someone who isn’t a teenager haha

Some of our fans are up-in-arms that you're interested in Sékou Koïta after we've shown interest in him haha. It's Danjuma all over again!

  4. First time I’ve ever seen that name haha based on how Danjuma worked out I’m ok if we sit it out lol

He was useless for us, too!

If said players are football romantics like me, they'd definitely prefer Goodison.

Absolutely no idea who this could be if not Kimmich

  10. He can pick what game he’s suspended for?

Just some casual photos of Lamine Yamal being washed as a baby in 2007 by Messi. Because, why not

Suspended suspension means he will not serve it unless he is charged again within the next year. If he goes clean for the year, the suspension expires. If he is charged again at some point in the year, then he'll serve the one game suspension on top of any further punishment

  13. Demiral suspended 2 games immediately. Jude given a warning.

Makes sense. One is an allusion to a fascist movement, the other one did a slightly rude gesture.

  15. I don’t know anything about Turkish politics. I’ve just seen people arguing whether it’s a symbol for that group or not. If it’s clear that’s his intentions, then absolutely deserves the suspension.

But if the rule is written to prevent offensive gestures during games, then Bellingham is also guilty of it, whether it’s as bad as another example or not.

  16. Just to be clear, I am not defending any gesture that represents a fascist movement. Just curious how the rule is written and enforced.

My issue would be at what I believe to be a double standard. As far I'm aware, Xhaka and Shaqiri got away with their gesturing towards the Serbian bench years back: Granit Xhaka and Xherdan Shaqiri escape ban over Swiss celebration

I think Demiral can feel slightly hard done by, in all honesty. Oh, and much like Swoos, I'm not defending right-wing salutes. I would just like parity.

  19. Germany v Spain is going to be so fun and exciting. I hope Portugal France deliver the same but I’m expecting a gross 1-0 game.

might be worth comparing the disciplinary regulations (scroll to Article 11) to see what Demiral is charged with and Bellingham

perhaps you take issue with the differences in charges and whether the disciplinary regulations are fit for purpose. but I think it’s worth looking at the plain text

  21. Thanks for this. It is definitely helpful. It seems they both violated the rule and the punishment for violations can be reviewed subjectively. Which is fine, because one is worse than the other.

I do think allowing the subjectivity in rulings will allow some favoritism toward star players. But that’s the case for basically any rule in sports tbh.

i tore a hole in the fabric of time Moderator

I just saw that any time Yamal plays after 8pm in Germany, as a minor, Spain have to pay a $30,000 fine. So that’s why he got subbed in one game at 7:55pm.

Mind blowing that fullkrug is benched again. Sane starting over Wirtz is also up for debate, but neither have starred in the tournament at all.

What times do the semi-final and final kick-off? Surely someone had the nous to tell Spain about this before the tournament? lol.
