Mario Maker 2 is great, it just makes more of an impact if you didn’t play 1, because if you did you immediately realise that 1 was one of those “we made the perfect game for our very specific console” Nintendo games, and 2 just can’t replicate it because the Switch doesn’t have a second screen. It just feels very compromised if you played 1. Nevertheless a lot of fun though, especially if you don’t care about building.

$60 for Donkey Kong is absurd

Not sure if I'd pay 60 for DKCR. I played the shit out of it on 3DS

I still need to start my Dread replay on my OLED too, played through only on the Lite the first time

I played DKCR on Wii when it came out and thought it was pretty good, but I won’t get it on switch. I’ll wait for whenever they make a new game

Playing Thousand Year Door for the first time and I’m on the Glitz world. So fun. Feels like Mario is in the WWE. The dialogue in this one is bizarre and hilarious as well.

Started LM2. Kinda lame that you can't save during a mission haha.

Going to different Mansions in Dark Moon didn’t feel any different to me than going to completely different themed floors in LM3. I enjoy both games infinitely more than the original Luigi’s Mansion.

This looks fun. Looks like if someone was like "what if Kiki's Delivery Service was an open world game?" and then made it

Coming to Switch and Steam 8/21

Man, I couldn't get into LM2 at ALL. Such a horrible save system.

Booted up LM1 and having a total blast

I loveddd LM3, but I don't think I am going to buy the 2 remaster. The slamming ghosts mechanic was such a big reason why LM3 was so fun, and I can't imagine this franchise without it.

i'm genuinely surprised some people don't like LM1 and call LM2 better. i haven't played 2 yet, but i thought the only problem with LM1 was clunky controls, which were much better in 3, and i'm hoping are better in 2.

I'm on the 4th mansion in LM2 and it's good, but obviously not as great as LM1 and LM3. The mission format really bumps the brakes on the vibe and atmosphere. LM1 and LM3 are great because you get to roam around the entire setting which makes it spookier. I feel like I'm stuck in a haunted building with no escape. This game doesn't feel like that at all. Almost feels like I'm playing a really long demo.

Best thing about emulating LM1 is fixing the inverted vertical c stick controls haha. I'm so bad at pressing down to aim up...

Absolutely hate flight-style controls. If I wanted that, I'd fly a plane.

LM1 was just very short and boring to me. It's just the same thing the whole way through. LM2 (with the exception of the horrible backtracking) had so much more personality to it, but I also played a ton of the multiplayer so maybe that was a big part of it.

Some weird/random NSO NES updates announced. Donkey Kong Jr Math lol

iirc, isn't NES golf also accessible somewhere via the system settings as an Easter egg/tribute to Iwata?

Can't fucking believe we get Donkey Kong Jr. Math before fucking Zoda's Revenge.

Why Nintendo? Why do you hate StarTropics?
