Only been watching the highlights of the Copa America cause it’s on so late over here, but the refereeing is genuinely nuts.

The current highlight is Mexico being given a penalty for a very debatable handball, and then Jamaica get a much more blatant one waved away.

Also, no referee seems to know how to use their pack when announcing var decisions.

Seems like a big move for the Go Ahead Eagles guy, but I happen to live next to Deventer, the home of the Go Ahead Eagles, and it’s one of the nicest places on the continent, unlike, you know, Manchester lol

Injuries have stalled his development somewhat, but he's very talented/exciting. I had him as my young player to watch LAST season in this thread, if you remember? His season was plagued, though.

Ramsey’s biggest strength is his ball carrying ability and physicality/athleticism from midfield. Could probably use a bit of polish and composure to his game but that should come with age and experience.

Definitely see why Ange would want him, a controlled chaos snowball gaining momentum rolling down the hill kind of player always draws attention and opens up space which would allow the more tidy operators room to do their thing.

Not related to Branthwaite apparently. It’s Todibo being blocked that has us moving.

We will probably not sign Branthwaite but yeah goal was two CB’s.

Man United will start looking back at players Man City initially wanted. Book it!

I would be so pissed if Bayern sold de Ligt and kept Upamecano.

Got a nice view of Manchester from my hotel room, but unfortunately someone aopears to have placed the derelict ruins of Old Trafford right in front of it…

Still, nice to have a water feature.

Anyone else reckon that the two ties today are the hardest to predict out of all the last 16 ties? I mean, Germany will have the edge due to home advantage, but Denmark are no mugs. I view them as similar to Switzerland, who Germany struggled against last time out.

On the subject of Switzerland, if Xhaka turns up I can really see them giving Italy a game. Here I am talking about Italy like they're like a classic Italian squad of quality, but the reality is Switzerland should respect them but not fear them.

I think Denmark play a game of football that is quite suited to Nagelsmann’s Germany actually. Obviously this is going to blow up in my face, but the space Denmark leave around their defence could hurt them. I think Sane would be a good shout to start today.

I think Switzerland have a very good chance today as well. Italy are a beatable side, similar to England. If Switzerland take the game to them, they stand a good chance of winning.
