RPK said that filming for Fantastic Four begins on July 24th in London. If the cast appears, it will likely have to be via video call. I doubt Marvel would fly them to London only to have them fly back to Comic Con on the 27th.

Although cast and crew have flown overseas to attend Comic Con in the past, doing it just two days after filming starts seems unlikely.

Feige just stated on the Marvel podcast that Fantastic Four will start filming the Monday after Comic Con, confirming their Comic Con appearance. He also confirmed that it will be a period piece.

Next week will get into Daredevil.

Did he explicitly say they’d be at SDCC, or was he just using that as at reference point? I don’t believe anything until it’s explicitly confirmed when it comes to Hall H panels.

 

He said “the Monday after Comic Con.” I don’t think he would go out of his way of mentioning Comic Con as a reference point if they were not going to be there.

Marvel Studios and Comic-Con have a relationship I don’t want to see end. I think of both whenever I think of either one.

Also, 2019 was so stacked.

 

Have you ever attended? If not, I highly recommend it. I was in attendance at all of those from 2013 on, and don’t plan on stopping.

 

Never had my schedule align with SDCC, unfortunately. Passes typically go on sale each November, right? I’d have to plan in advance with flights if I was to ever attend.

Maybe they found a way to reduce how much they pay the humans who make these shows without sacrificing output.

They can develop 100 projects and only make the best 5 of those. Makes sense to me.
