Love Aldi. Buying all Aldi brand groceries has saved me so goddamn much.

Those cheap ass store brand chicken pot pies and frozen peorgies have become a staple in my diet. Also pretty much made the switch from coke/pepsi to Summit Cola.

Yeah getting most of my groceries from aldi besides a few things saves me like $30-$40 a week.

I literally had the red bag frozen chicken for dinner last night along with Aldi brand brussel sprouts . The green bag herb encrusted chicken tenders also rule.

The Aldi chicken nuggets, chicken fries, and popcorn chicken are also all good.

The only Aldi brand frozen chicken stuff that sucks is their chicken sandwich patties. They're disgusting .

The green bag chicken used to make a chicken Alfredo is one of my go tos

  6. Aldi rocks. Great groceries, great take and bake pizzas, great generic snacks

    Air fryers also rock

I love my air fryer. Air fried chicken wings are awesome and always come out great. Obviously a great sports bar with wings will outdo them, but in an apartment where I don't like to deep fry, it gets the job done. I also like to do salmon in there for tacos. Cut up the fish, season it (normally cajun), then air fry it and it's banging.

oh I forgot I had salmon in it once too

    that was really great

with both Aldi and air fryers I mostly attribute my not liking them to my own ignorance really

    just need to try more

Also love Aldi's ready made fridge meals. Unusually net 5 or 6 of them for meals for the week. The asparagus stuffed chicken breast is my favorite.

air fryer is all about how you use it, it’s not mind blowing but it can save so much cook time and you can get some good shit out of em.

I just haven't gone to Aldi because my mom was saying they have a pretty small selection of things so she still had to go to her usual grocery store right after

I don't think it's the same as Aldi's (maybe?) but I just had the Barber foods asparagus chicken breast last night. They're great for when I'm lazy. I love to cook, but at least 1 or 2 nights a week, I went something that creates less of a mess and they hit the spot.

I forgot it's artichoke and not asparagus. This is the Aldi kind

Certain things they simply dont have or I just prefer the name brand. Luckily we have a Hannaford right across the street from ours. So I'll get basics covered at aldi and other specific needs covered at the other store.

Their produce is also terribly maintained, at least at ours.

yeah they don’t have everything but luckily the other grocery store I go to (shop n save) is less than a mile from Aldi so I stop there first and get what Aldi doesn’t have and then go to Aldi. It’s worth it to save $120-$160 ish a month.

I do Instacart with Aldi and maybe spend $225 on groceries every 2-3 weeks. So about $300-$400 a month. Same amount of groceries from Publix and I'd be paying around $400 every grocery order and close to $800 a month.

A few weeks ago I ordered a small Publix order to last me about one week and it was like $150.

Lately to save money I have been stretching it where I haven't been getting groceries until my fridge and freezer are almost completely empty. Which makes it a struggle when I get to the point I am at right now where I still have enough frozen dinner and lunch stuff to last me to next week, and I have oatmeal for breakfast, but I have nothing to snack on inbetween meals.

If I really stretch it I can make one grocery order last almost 4 weeks.

I usually spend like $250 a week or week and a half at Walmart getting groceries for two people. Way cheaper than our other 3 grocery chains in the area but curious to see if Aldi would help even more

Heh yeah I definitely have the problem of my snacks running out before my meals. Only problem is that it usually leads to me just crossing the street and buying stupid expensive snacks at CVS or the gas station across the street

I barely buy enough stuff for one week. Don’t like buying too much at once for fear of wasting it. Both groceries stores are less than 2 minutes from me anyway.

We do 95% of our shopping at Trader Joe's and try to keep it between $80 - $120 a week.

  24. Yeah, I'd say we spend about $100-$150 a week mostly at Walmart but that includes pet supplies

My biggest issue with Aldi is they only sell meat in huge quantities. It’s cheap but I can’t cook or eat this much before it goes bad
