My guy finally started sleeping straight through (about 8pm-6am) when he was 9 months or so. But I've had friends that have kids who didn't start until a year or slightly later. It's probably coming soon for you.

 

Fortunately she feeds him so it doesn't bother me all that much, except him waking me up screaming - but I typically fall asleep quickly after.

 

My son is 2 and still has nights where he doesn't sleep through. For the most part he does (8:30 - 7:30), but there are some nights here and there where he wakes up crying. Not because he's hungry (we haven't fed him in middle of night in probably a year and a half) but moreso just because he wants to come sleep in our bed.

Sooner or later, you may just have to hear him cry it out for a few nights. I know it's tough, but if you keep feeding him in middle of night, it likely won't stop. Or, instead of feeding him, pick him up and just carry him around until he falls back asleep while you're holding him. I used to do that with my son all the time and he'd fall back asleep in my arms in a few minutes then I'd just put him back in his crib.

 

We've done that before, and it seems to work for one or two nights, but then he falls back to old routine. Thoughts?

 

Maybe try feeding him differently during the day/evening. Do you feed him before bed? If not, maybe start giving him snacks so he may not wake up hungry. Or thicker foods to fill him up more. Maybe he's just not eating enough during the day.

 

He is just over three feet (perfect height to headbutt the family jewels) and around 40 pounds

 

My son did this for a while, we just had to cut him off cold turkey at night. Ended up feeding him a bottle or something RIGHT before bed.

The last week or so he has regressed to waking up multiple times, think he's sick or something but it's been rough..

 

My toddler son likes eating chips, but he calls them "tits."

He also loves to fist bump, but calls it "muckles," like knuckles but wrong.

What funny things do your kids say?

 

My daughter says "die!" instead of "bye!"

 

My son says "oh no" ALL THE TIME. For literally almost anything and sometimes it's absolutely perfect.

 

Do not correct her ever.

 

I really enjoy the vast majority of Children's cartoons my son watches and feel weird about it

 

What are some of your faves?

 

We've been watching a lot of Teen Titans Go this morning. Really funny show.

Like I probably wouldn't watch most of those if it wasn't for him but I actually catch myself becoming invested in some and makes me think that not everything is THAT terrible haha. I mean it still doesn't beat out Saturday Morning cartoons in the 90's but they are actually pretty quality shows

 

I love Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. There's an episode where Pete scatters all of the parts to the clubhouse and so the gang have to go find them. Pete hides from them and Mickey says something to the effect of "I wish I could find Pete and tell him that I'm not mad at him. I could really use his help." When he said that, I lost it. I have never cried so much from any TV show before or since. Being a parent has made me soft.

 

My daughter lives for MLP & Equestria Girls. Not bad tbh, though I don't post much attention when those are on.

 

Been watching continuous episodes of Big Block Singsong on Hulu for 1 1/2 hrs because it's the only thing that seems to keep the little one happy today

 

I used to watch the Wiggles for 2+ hrs a day. I know that feel. One time my son was up with a fever and so I put the propeller song from Wiggles on YouTube on repeat on my phone, it was the only way he'd stop scream crying, so we listened to the same song on repeat for 45 minutes. Parenthood is sacrifice, right?

 

Luckily he's gotten distracted but other things to where we turned it off and he's not screaming, good thing it's almost bedtime!

Not that I mind the show or anything haha. It's just been one of those days today where he hasn't napped very much and hasn't been happy with anything and just loses his shit nonstop. Fuck this time change haha!

 

I'm so glad they don't change time here.

 

When she was a baby there were a bunch of YouTube videos she was hooked on. Every now and then I'll still sing one of the songs
