Romania to not get a shot on goal after that take away is awful. There were at least 4 people open in the box he could’ve passed to instead of holding it

I just realized that Lukaku played roughly half his life in the Belgian national team.

The commentators are laughing at how bad Lukaku’s luck is.

Ally McCoist just said “Keep going big fella!”

All teams in the group with 3 points. This will get spicy.

    That argument is so wild.

In countries that haven’t had much of a football culture in the past, immigrants often raise the profile and standards of the game.

It's like looking at the US cricket team and going “WHITE PEOPLE ARE BEING REPLACED” when it’s just that it is more popular amongst Indian communities. Then as it gets more popular and the level raises, others follow.

Let’s go back and see how much of France’s success over the last 30 years would’ve been achieved with white only players who have generations of native French lineage.

Henry? Parents are from two different islands in the Caribbean. Pogba? Born to Guinean parents. Kante’s parents? Both from Mali. Makalele? Born in Zaire at the time, now known as Congo. Viera? Born in Senegal to a mother from Cape Verde. Mbappe? Cameroonian father and Algerian mother.

It’s unreal to me that the “they’re not really from ___” arguments still exist when one of the most successful international sides in football history overwhelmingly owes their success to the continent of Africa.

A Canadian, a French colonial expansion, upset about the lack of “native” population is a very Spider-Man meme of idiocy with any US person who feels that way about our immigrants.

I have been updating the spreadsheet with points as games progress, btw. It’s a bit more competitive than expected, but will be interested to see how it fills out as the two tourneys progress.

I feel legit bad for @SamLevi11 though

Oh yeah, oh yeah, everything is terrible.

Canadians have been getting very stupider about this rhetoric over the last few years and it sucks to see

I imagine it’s the same rural/city divide we have here in the US.

Tbf when I saw my teams I absolutely expected this. Basically the worst team I could get for every single pot haha. Sort of hoping they all lose every game just cause that would be funny lol.
