I’m guessing it’s a squads only mode

 

Yeah squads only either go fill or no fill but basically their version of rebirth

 

Dredge is so good

 

did anyone start Erdtree yet

 

i think they are all posting about it in the from software thread

 

I saw it’s a quick 10 hour game so that makes it even better

 

I need to finish dredge but the 2-3 hours I’ve played were super good

 

I'm still playing hades, but my oh my, am I bad at it. I'm trying to use the weapon that gives the 20% darkness bonus but some of them like the spear and crossbow, I'm awful with and I don't get far. I think I've done 23 runs so far and I haven't even beaten Meg yet. I got really close with the fist weapons so I think I might just say screw the bonuses for now and use the weapon I'm having the most success with to just try to get a little further.

I also don't really know what to do with the gifts. I didn't even know that you could gift them to the gods as they aid you. I thought it was just for people who showed up in the hall after death. I read you're supposed to spread them out before you give someone a 2nd but I don't really know why. I'm using the gift I got in return from Dusa constantly.

I also pretty much die every time I get to the dueling gods chambers where you have to pick a reward but then you piss the other god off and have to fight your way through craziness.

Incredibly cool game, new genre to me, and not something I ever expected to love as much as I am. I honestly expected a much simpler experience.

 

Once you start realizing which boons work well together you can really start to break the game. But no matter how much you break it the Minotaur is gonna break you back

 

Yea, I honestly don't expect to finish it with how bad I am so I'll just play until it's no longer fun anymore wherever that ends up. I like the boons that leave damage when you dash, if I get one of those I'm happy.

Who knows though, I am also playing No Rest For The Wicked early access, and the first boss in that was horrendously difficult for me but I never gave up and just levelled up till I felt prepared and got the perfect fight in. The most fun I've had dying over and over and over again in a minute so maybe that will spill over into whatever Hades has in store. At least though in NRFTW, the spawn point was so you could just go right back to the boss in seconds.

 

Hot take: Meg is too hard and once you beat her the game is a cakewalk.
23 runs and not having her beat is perfectly fair.

 

I’m fine with Meg’s difficulty but I think swapping and rebalancing her with the Hydra would be fine/good, Hydra is a lot mechanically easier than Meg and the sisters

 

I just started another attempt at Elden Ring, I want to beat it

 

I’m generally afraid to start another run of Elden Ring because I cheesed my initial run with some crazy broken strat and now they nerfed it so idk what I do lol

 

There will always be crazy broken strats available

 

Bloodhound Fang L2->R2 can clear the game from Margit/Leonine to Radagon/EB without having to think about it that much

 

the first time you gift any character they give you a keepsake that you can use on your runs. you won't know what each of their effects are until you get them. the more you use a keepsake, the stronger it gets.

a lot of the game is just grinding for resources. you need a decent amount of darkness allocated in the mirror before you can make a lot of progress. death defiance is a huge help. eventually you'll also have to upgrade your weapons as well.

don't stop so soon. there are four biomes, you gotta at least see them all. heck, reach the final boss. by then you'll probably have a good idea what works for you and what doesn't.

 

I need to finish up another character on Elden Ring before I do the DLC...but I'm very excited. Apparently it's getting a lot of mixed reviews on Steam right now due to being too hard, and some fps drops.

 

Looks like some more balancing is due but that's always the case with new from releases

 

just give me that marital arts style and call it a day
