I don’t really try for any concerts because they sound like a pain and I tried for Olivia Rodrigo and I learned the heartbreak of Ticketmaster real quick.

I am lucky that I don't attend too many of the bigger artists shows and when I have, I've been lucky. But it's starting to bleed into the mid size band market too. Knocked Loose and Lorna Shore were 2 tickets I was lucky enough to get that sold out due to scalpers and are now $$$. And those were both in 2k cap venues that I never used to worry about getting a ticket in the presale or anything.

 

every fest should have turf or something like normalize not sneezing dirt afterwards lol.

 

A few years ago I saw State Champs at Riot Fest, there was such a huge cloud of dirt everywhere that I was sick for like a week afterwards. You can see it clearly in the video they shot there:

 

I remember after going to It’s Not Dead Fest in San Bernardino back in 2015, I was cleaning dirt out of my nose for like, a week

The turf at furnace fest last year was a game changer.

 

I remember that set. Imo the dustiest riot fest pit ever was SWMRS in like 2018 or 19. I literally couldn’t see the stage from the back of the pit at certain points. It’s like people were actively trying to kick it up.

 

I don’t recall ever having an issue with dirt at Riot but four chord was fucking miserable yesterday and I still feel like I can’t breathe right

 

The dust at Riot Fest on the Rise Stage could get a little rough at points. But nothing like what I've seen in that video hah.

Warped Tour was always the worst for this though. It tended to hit Massachusetts toward the end of the summer (mid-August) when all the grass at whatever venue they were having it at was inevitably dead. So unless it was on asphalt... The place was bound to be just straight dirt.

It was like having people circle-pit to Less Than Jake and Pennywise in a sandbox.

2000 was particularly bad. I remember wearing a white Weezer t-shirt and having my mom wash it like, three times to try and get it clean but... It ultimately had to be tossed. LOL

 

anytime I see multiple people fb or Reddit complain about it you know it’s bad and I saw like 10 complaints yesterday about the dirt
