There's hope.

 

This feels much more like an Oasis situation to me, but who knows.

 

Etid has been my favorite band since a little while before Gutter came out and I want them back as much as anyone, but this band ain't getting back together. Ever. It's for the best though because even if they did, it wouldn't be anywhere near the same band.

 

I mean, he isn’t going to say anything different when they’re still actively mad at each other or whatever, but life is weird and time often heals wounds

 

It’s gonna happen. It ain’t gonna be soon, but it’ll happen.

 

Reading between the lines of everything I think Keith needs to reevaluate an aspect or two of the end and speak on that before the other guys entertain the thought. i.e. maybe I was a bit in the wrong too.

 

I just hope Keith and Jordan are able to mend fences tbh

 

Yeah, I don’t even care about the band, we have like 200 ETID songs, it’s just shitty to fight with your brother.

 

Damn, makes me sad to see some of Andy's replies to people on that tweet. I know I didn't know these guys but I always felt like I did and it still just sucks to see the bad blood is going strong. ETID for life.

 

I'm sure those guys mean it when they say it right now, but, if wrestling has taught me anything, it's that there's no truer phrase than "never say never."

With that said, Low Teens and Radical are two of my favorite records ever, so, what a way to go out.

 

Feel like you can learn that phrase from a lot of places other than wrestling. Why wrestling specifically?

 

You certainly can, I just thought it was pertinent here especially since Andy is doing that full-time now and there a lot of pretty extreme examples in that business that at one time felt completely impossible or insurmountable and then led to "hell freezes over" moments later down the line.

 

I think it all depends on if Keith can get his head out of his ass and apologize and make amends with the rest of the band. Who knows if that'll ever happen; definitely not for some years if ever imo.

In the meantime atleast we have a kickass Better Lovers LP on deck thats going to rock us the fuck out.

 

I love all of the guys but there sure is a lot of onus being put on Keith here when we don't know the full situation and probably never will

 

idk when basically every party but him says it was all him and has since day one, I feel like it seems to be the case

 

Keith is estranged not just from Jordan but the rest of his family as well. After hearing him speak about his life on Lead Singer Syndrome and how he finds meaning and truth in lost books of the Bible I feel that he has changed so much, and all of that combined with ETID ending made a bigger rift than just “we broke up due to disagreements” that other bands might go through.

I think we will probably get a reunion, but Many Eyes hasn’t even put out a full length yet. I’d say it’d have to be 10 years from now at the earliest but everyone’s gotta come together again and there’s very little inkling of that happening now.

 

Tid The Season 2035!

 

We will never know why certain choices were made from either party but hopefully family can be one again.

 

I don't think a lot of people realize just how much Jordan and Keith especially have changed in the last few years (and several leading up to the break up). Keith's issues have been highlighted, obviously, but Jordan ended up doing several DMT therapy retreats that he feels helped show him who in his life was a toxic force, Keith being number 1 and it seems like that caused even more friction than they already had. I'm glad Jordan decided to delete the 5+ hour podcast he did with vanflip, but one of the key points he addressed in it was the years of shit he dealt with from Keith and hordes of 'fans', and I think that had already soured things for him to a crazy extent. Andy has also spoken many times about things that happened over the last 10 years of the band that got increasingly worse around the time of the pandemic and ultimately ruined most ETID-related things for him, with the breakup and those events just cementing it.

When I say I don't think it will ever happen, I specifically mean with those 5 members. Legally, no one member owns the name of the band but if they ever even worked that out it would be a matter of that 'winning' member forming a lineup. I'd be amazed to ever see a reunion with Keith, Jordan and Andy. Time may heal wounds but I'd be surprised given how much of that band has been tarnished for those guys at this point.

 

It’s really weird how many people think they know exactly what the problem is and who needs to fix it lol

 

yeah my first post was basically a "damn I miss their music and frequent touring" I wasn't trying to wake up all the pseudo-therapists

 

I unfortunately helped moderate Keith's discord and twitch chat for a little while, which was eye opening to say the least. Also, Jordan has been open about plenty of those other details and has been pretty blunt about things when discussing them in person at shows.

I'm not pretending to know shit, I'm just saying it's more than a few creative differences. I'd love to see them back as much as anybody but it's not happening. If it does, it won't be the same. That was my only point.
