The worst kind of work day today. Slow for a weekend, too many servers on, a lot of standing around for probably less than I made on Wednesday… but I’m stuck with the only large party (8 people) and the reservation is at 8 pm

In my case I do this but I need to get way better at having that self awareness in the moment and not only later. Too often I get stuck in “wait but I’m not understood” but at the end of the day it’s just not a big deal and I should simply drop it communicate better in the future if I want to avoid that
