I really like Mylo. Might swap into fourth for me, depending on the day. A poppier take on the maximalism of Viva la Vida.

I honestly really like all nine of these albums, but imo, Dreams is easily the worst. Some great songs on there, but the two big singles are not good and there are some confounding choices with sequencing and interludes.

 

A large part of the album for me is when it came out. I had just got engaged and Amazing Day wound up being our first dance song. Album was the soundtrack to a very happy time of my life, so it holds a special place for me.

 

Totally get it, and there’s a lot of stuff I love on there. I mostly just think they need to dial back the interludes. And the Beyoncé song is awful.

I do not care for this on first listen. It's pretty fine and harmless, but I find the "la la la la" parts annoying. I know that's part of the Coldplay playbook, but it feels really forced in here

 

Caught up on the comments just to make sure someone had called this out. Not sure if this is a pretty common take, but Coloratura is incredible. Feels like classic Coldplay in the very best way

 

Feeling a little bit of the subdued feel of Ghost stories with this single. It’s nice hearing the guitars and drums during the outro.

 

Production threw me off but I really like this song

Fine song, not sure I'll come back to it much before the album though.

 

Yeah it's three and a bit months out, am okay with listening once for curiosity's sake - I could still end up going to one of their shows in August so I'll hear it there if so.

i think it’s actually imagine dragons from a streaming/sales perspective but coldplay doesn’t suck absolute shit so yeah let’s go with them
