Lol I will admit Florida vs. Edmonton had to be the NHL’s nightmare, but for the most part neutral hockey games are still sick

 

its ok to be dumb believe it or not i dabble too

 

That is such a terrible Fathers Day gift

 

a regular season that narrows to a top 8 and then having a few best of 7 series would be perfect for me; makes the regular season mean more than “yeah ya know win half of your games or so and you’re good” but doesn’t lose the grit and shortens it by a solid 2 weeks or so

 

hockey is one of the more scheme-based and play-designed sports there is, with tons of analytics you can dive into that make watching the actual game way more complex than just puck-following. no disrespect but that's akin to saying you just watch the NBA for dunks or baseball for homeruns

 

See I agree in basketball because so rarely do low seeds do anything (Dallas and Miami feel like outliers) but in the NHL “Just get in” actually really means something. 6, 7, 8 seeds can really do some damage.

 

I feel this way about basketball too but for the opposite reason. All this bullshit just to have the Celtics easily win the finals like we all thought all year lol

I find NFL is great for underdog teams becaude the best team all season is still only sometimes (def less than 50% of the time) the one who wins it all (right @MidDave???)

& his fairweather ass shoulda never stopped being a Jags fan lol. He’s the reason we watched every Sunday and had season tickets when I was growing up. He made me a fan in the first place and now he’s retiring in Jax area lol

 

The reason you stopped watching made sense but dad did not stop watching for the same reason lol. He started watching Washington

Best part of DC - just openly smoking a bowl on a bench outside cause it’s totally legal to do in public

I mean not that that stops me from going where there’s no cops and doing it in Baltimore lol. Smoking on the docks while I look out at the harbor is a favorite pastime
