Far cry 4 and monster hunter rise!!!!! Ahhhhh!!!!!

 

I have rise on switch but I’ve been dying to play it on the big screen. And far cry 4 is my favorite in the series and I’ve been dying to replay it but I sold my copy years ago

 

Monster Hunter Stories also drops tomorrow on Steam for those interested.

 

Player's Log: Shantae

Okay, I finally got all the way back to where I ended last night and got all the relevant achievements, except for one that didn't unlock for some reason, but I can figure that one out later.

Now that I understand how the game works a little better and now that I'm cheating like a fiend, I'm really having fun with the game. I know that sounds like very faint praise, but for their first go at making a game like this, WayForward really did a bang-up job making a colorful and interesting world.

 

Oh I’m getting that for sure it’s cheaper than paper Mario lmao

 

Gotten pretty far into Shantae and the Seven Sirens now, unlocked all abilities, transformation/traversal is so fluid. Just focusing on collecting as much as I can before the final chapter. A bit peeved the map doesn't tell you percentage completion. Also I rushed through a section of the story assuming an enemy would be reccuring and apparently missed a card, so I guess I won't bother collecting all of the rest of them at this point.

I still have a soft spot for Pirate's Curse, pixel art and all, but Seven Sirens is probably the most fun I've had playing this series, everything's just polished to perfection

 

rolled credits on Animal Well and loved every second of it. there was one sequence at the end that took me far longer than I’d like to admit.

will probably keep plugging away a little bit but what a game.

Player's Log: Shantae

Finished the race against Rottytops in the Zombie Caravan, and fucking hell I hate it when games have you race someone and you can't fuck up even once, or you lose. So goddamn frustrating.

Also, in the game there are these squid kids you can return to their mothers to earn new dances that warp you to towns, which is super convenient to have. Anyway, the squids are all color coded but the mothers don't seem to care and I'm pretty sure I'm just returning these kids to the wrong mothers. Oh well!

Anyway, tomorrow the quest continues!

 

me and my brother are making breakfast for dinner with some spam, eggs and hash browns and he let me cook even more by playing the 1975’s I like it when you sleep album on my record player.

can’t ruin my night now while gaming when it has a killer start like this.

 

I read this earlier today. It sounds like the remaining co-founder got on a real power trip that is basically decimating the company. Sad to see a company that held such promise have their potential squandered by one ego tripper at the top.

 

I don’t trust a word from this rag given how they’ve been covering dragon age and yes I’m petty like that but I think it’s indicative of the kind of writing you get there

I actually haven’t read much from them. I just saw it on Reddit and thought the info was interesting. But good to know going forward because I had no idea.

 

I get that you're in a zone right now, but I don't really see what's not to trust here. They interviewed team members and laid down the facts of the situation and do not paint the company in a flattering light. It's pretty standard investigative reporting.

I do get it. I've seen the articles about Dragon Age. PC Gamer unfortunately is both able to bring valid issues to light and also get high off their own supply.
