Actually, I think we're probably talking about Papermariogate, where sophos said he was gonna emulate the GameCube game and I jokingly implied Nintendo would never make a new Paper Mario because sophos wouldn't buy the remake.

Which is hilarious because my post was not intended to criticize the practice of emulation, something I'm engaged in right now with the GBC games I'm playing through.

 

I do remember that too, but I think this was spurred on by Nintendo taking action against that switch emulator. Unless that was also part of it haha

 

i had a friend who played Eve but like it never seemed to actually take any of his attention lol. always looked so boring.

hearing stories about shenanigans in Eve always sounded so funny and open ended

But I bet in practice on the screen it was boring af, all the good bits were happening by just talking in the chat and or clicking buttons on endless drop down menus

 

Like the massive wars that cost people ships worth stupid amounts of real and in-game money were epic to listen to and read about. but the day-to-day activities? nah fuck all that lol

 

Yeah it was mostly us but I believe there was some other anti-emulation posters. Which there’s nothing wrong with, but I personally don’t think it’s a black and white thing.

But yeah Jake was probably talking about Papermariogate most likely then lol

 

There was something that happened during KH3 that I had no context for that was massively confusing that I did not understand till watching those sorts of videos

 

I am talking about paper Mario gate and I refuse to discuss any further

 

If it helps, I truly did not mean for anything I said in that conversation to be taken seriously and if you're really avoiding talking about emulation because of that, then I regret ever saying anything, but the original goal was to make a joke.

I started playing Honkai to tide me over until SMTVV drops and now I’m like… Honkai fucking rules man. Runs like a dream on the deck too. Fuck.

 

KH is one of my favorite series of all time. And I’ve played mostly all of them, I’ve watched videos about them, I’ve read wiki pages, and I still couldn’t for the life of me tell you wtf happens in that story.

Ironically I’m at target right now debating if I want to buy paper Mario since I’ll have a source of income again starting next week but also I won’t have a source of income again until next week and have a finite amount of money left lol
