Anthem Part 2, Online Songs, EILFY remain my favorites.

Truly once in a lifetime feeling putting my headphones on and hearing the DUN DUN DUN DUN intro of anthem pt2 for the first time.

 

Feel that with Anthem 3 on this run. Never not unbelievable

 

Anthem Part 2 and 3 are both incredible openers.

 

They always have incredible album openers. Except "The First Time." That's their weakest opener, for sure.

 

I'd easily take First Time over Ghost

 

I love both songs, but TFT is a waaaay better album opener.

 

I don't dislike Ghost, I kinda wanna move First Time up more but I can't cause that's how strong all their openers are lol

 

Put OMT... on for the first time in months. Still so good.

The ending on Anthem Pt. 3 makes me smile every time that isolated guitar comes on and starts building up.

Hoping we get some type of Cheshire* Cat/Dude Ranch Medley on this tour.

 

TOYPAJ always seems to fly under the radar for me when people talk about their favorite albums. EOTS is always considered the most iconic, Untitled is always the deep fan favorite, but TOYPAJ is truly integral to their success and is still revered that way looking at their past setlists. The majority of songs off of one album that they play are TOYPAJ on these recent tours.

 

I’ve always liked TOYPAJ more than EOTS, but I definitely do feel like it flies slightly under the radar

 

TOYPAJ is my 2nd favorite album behind Enema. I do feel like TOYPAJ is a bit underrated. The album sounds amazing (Jerry’s best work imo) and is a true sequel to Enema. Tom’s guitar work is top notch too and it’s the first blink album that I felt the Tom songs are just as good as the Mark songs. Give me summer pop fun album blink all day everyday.

 

Enema has always been my number one, but TOYPAJ has always been right behind it. Never get tired of listening to either

 

TOYPAJ is only behind Enema because it has "Give Me One Good Reason" and "Story of a Lonely Guy" which are both pretty mid tier. I might even put "Shut Up" in that camp, even though I like it more than those other two.

 

Story of a Lonely Guy is not mid tier!

 

I like that one too, but I think generally it's one of the least mentioned Blink songs, at least on TOYPAJ. The chorus melody is totally "No One Else" by Weezer though haha.

 

20+ years of TOYPAJ and The Blue Album being in my top 10 and I never picked up on that. WTF haha

 

Both songs were fun to hear live though. Say what you want about GMOGR but people had a blast singing along to it on the TOYPAJ Tour. Plus who doesn’t like to listen to “the punk rock”?
